About Us
We are a family business, founded in 2003, specialising in gaining access to the most remote, inhospitable areas of the UK to serve the electricity and windfarm sectors. Since starting out, we have specially adapted our growing fleet with wider, longer steel tracks to allow unrivalled access across peat bogs, brash, wooded areas and up or down steep slopes to allow boreholes to be undertaken in any location.
No matter the size, location or complexity of the project, we take pride in our excellent work ethic, competitive prices and ability to resolve onsite issues efficiently and safely.
Services
We offer a full range of services from window sampling, to cable percussive drilling, to rotary drilling, to trial pitting and foundation inspections using a trench box.

Projects
Some examples of our recent projects:
Isle of Skye
Bainbridge Brothers undertook 435 boreholes and 457 trial pits to facilitate a new overhead line between the Isle of Skye and Fort Augustus. The boreholes were drilled using combined percussive and rotary drilling techniques. Groundwater monitoring standpipes were installed at selected tower locations.
Strathy Wood
Bainbridge Brothers undertook 27 boreholes to support the construction of two new windfarms in north east Scotland. The majority of the borehole locations were situated on felled forest with ‘brash mats’ installed to form access to the borehole locations. Therefore, an ultra-widespread drilling rig with an accompanying support tracked compressor unit was utilised to traverse the terrain.
